Otterspool Adventures

The Wonderful otterspool adventure park has a fantastic range of additional extra’s added to their usual play sessions between Christmas and new year. There is a magical visit from Elsa and Anna to perform their Frozen adventures show as well as access to the ice-skating rink included in the standard ticket price as a thank you for all the support is 2021. I’ve got my ticket booked Maisie is going to LOVE IT!

Speke Hall

If you have found yourself in nothing but PJs over Christmas and ate nothing but chocolate and roast potatoes, then it might be time to walk it off and get a bit of fresh air. Speke hall is the perfect picturesque walk with stunning woodland and gardens. They are open every day apart from 24/25/26. They also have the Percy park keeper trail on until 2nd January so you can get the kids involved too.

Croxteth hall park

I’m not sure if it’s just a scouse thing but we love a Good boxing day walk. So, if the kids have got new scooters or Bikes, maybe you have just got a new Puppy for Christmas or you’re just a bit hungover after 1 too many baileys why not walk it off around the stunning park, let the kids burn off some energy while your left over turkey curry is going in the slow cooker.

Cirdplay softplay

Are the kids already moaning they are bored even though you have just spent 100’s of pounds on Christmas presents? Or maybe you want to get them off the iPad / Xbox’s they have been glued to over the past few days. Why not take them too soft play for a few hours? you can keep warm and get a coffee while to kids enjoy some exercise. They have lots of themed events advertised on their Instagram so keep your eyes peeled for any events they may have on.

Liverpool indoor funfair

Want to get out and about with the kids but don’t fancy facing the cold. The Indoor funfair is back in Liverpool from 27th December till 3rd January. Pre-booking is advised as when I’ve previously attempted to book it’s been sold out so it pays to book ahead.

It does also state on their website they are only selling limited tickets to prevent high numbers of people per session. It’s £10 for 3 hours unlimited rides. £3.50 if you’re just going to watch the kids which I think is pretty reasonably priced.

Mini Madams

If that little lady in your life after a good pamper I highly recommend a little mummy daughter date here. They do everything from nail painting, bath bomb foot spas and lots of festive crafting depending on the event you book for so check out their Instagram for all their events they are running over Christmas and new year. If you’re working over Christmas or just need to offload them for a break for a few hours they have got their winter wonder camp too.

Liverpool ice festival

The Pierhead has been magically transformed this Christmas with its very own ice festival along the Liverpool waterfront. Perfect for this half-term there is an undercover ice rink, rides, Its very own snow slide and most importantly… a BAR. This is a perfect family-friendly thing to do if you’re not quite ready for the magic of Christmas to end on boxing day. If you planning on a date night over Christmas and you fancy seeing just how good your other half is on the ice this is a cute unique idea for that too.

Panto's in Liverpool.

Christmas is the season of the Panto so why not book one of the many Panto’s that have popped up over Merseyside this Christmas. See below links for some inspiration.

Knowsley Safari - Enchanted trail

BE QUICK – There is some very limited availability for the enchanted trail on 29 & 30th of December for the enchanted trailer at Knowsley safari park. See my previous blog post for a full recommendation on the event. Linked below.

Go Tales Formby

Here at Go Tales they have everything to make a magical experience for your little prince or princess. Set within magical woodlands in Formby you will meet 5 princesses, your fairy godmother and the Christmas fairy. And along the way you can feed Sven the reindeer and decorate your own princess tiara.
