It’s important to note that Girl About is NOT a franchise model – there are no costs or fees involved in being a Girl About Ambassador. Our Girl About Ambassadors are not working for us – we are granting them permission to use the registered ™ brand, Girl About – plus they benefit from our brilliant support network to leverage themselves and their passion for writing / blogging and creating content. We know we are #StrongerTogether
BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER - JOIN OUR BRILLIANT COMMUNITIES ONLINE...
So, you wanna be a successful blogger?
Like Carrie to Miranda, Patsy to Edina and Sporty to Scary, Baby, Posh & Ginger, the Girl About Blog Squad is a powerful partnership of ambitious and creative women supporting each other to level up our content-creating and local-influencing game.
girlabouttravel.co.uk is a thriving online community for adventurous women who live to holiday, with the Blog Squad as the brand’s beating heart.
Our growing collective of fierce females are making and sharing amazing memories across all corners of the UK via our website and our collective social media channels, and we have grand plans to take Girl About global.
We are actively seeking fabulous and unique females to represent every corner of the UK (that’s not yet covered) as our official Girl About Blog Squad Ambassadors and Regional Heads (see the bottom of this page for more on that).
Is the Girl About Ambassador role right for me?
Our UK-wide Girl About Blog Squad
Girl About started out in 2018 as a growing network of UK bloggers and today there are 25 women across the UK who make up the Girl About Blog Squad – flying the flag for their towns, cities, counties and regions across the UK.
If you love uncovering all those hidden gems in your hometown and you would be nothing short of honoured to fly that flag high for your neck of the woods, start by checking if we need you in your city/county – CLICK HERE*
While some areas are already covered at county level, we are also looking for women to represent their cities and towns so please get in touch if you think you can bring something else to the table. We are really keen to talk to women who can bring more diversity to Girl About.
Part of our mission is to help our Blog Squad push through comfort zones and smash their limiting beliefs when it comes to writing, so don’t let anything that you think may hinder your chances of being involved get in your way of applying. A passion for writing, and the drive and determination to succeed is most important. We can teach you the rest.
Of course it goes without saying that a good command of the English language is really important, but we welcome women with neurodiversity, because the writing is just one small part of what makes a brilliant blogger and an exceptional local influencer.
So, have you got what it takes?
- Are you always telling friends and family about exciting happenings in your hometown?
- Are you the first to get through the door of that quirky little indie patisserie that’s just popped up on your high street?
- Do you love nothing more than capturing the magic on a local wild woodland walk or on a stroll along your local beach?
- Are you in the know when it comes to where to eat, sleep and have a great day out locally?
- Does snapping the charm in every moment fill you with joy?
- Is Instagram your favourite social media channel?
- Are you all about collaboration over competition?
- Do you want to make new friends with like-minded women and ultimately have FUN?
If the answer is YES to all the above - we want to hear from YOU!
We are seeking local and regional Girl About Blog Squad Ambassadors so step forward to claim your space!
You MUST have a passion for writing and getting creative on social media and you mustn’t be afraid to put yourself out there as brand YOU – the official Girl About in your area.
You don’t need to be a professional writer, content creator or photographer, but you need to have loads of enthusiasm and commitment to Girl About.
As a local Ambassador, in return for writing two brilliant blogs and/or riveting reviews and recommendations a month, which will sit on your own personal page of our beautiful brand new Girl About Travel website (girlabouttravel.co.uk), you’ll receive expert training, guidance, and support from industry professionals and, of course, your Girl About peers.
While you won’t get paid in pounds by us (although many of our Ambassadors are now able to demand payment from brands to promote their goods and services on their Instagram accounts at the Girl About Ambassador’s discretion), you’ll get invites, freebies and of course the money-can’t-buy brand leverage that comes with being part of Girl About.
You’ll also have the opportunity to write travel content for Girl About Travel, and this comes with even more exciting opportunities.
So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to be part of our Squad, complete the form below and register your interest today – we can’t wait to hear from you.

New for 2022, we are also headhunting Regional Ambassadors
We are on the lookout for seriously driven women who have what it takes to manage an entire region of the UK and turn it into a revenue-generating machine and pocket a share of the pounds.
Regional Ambassadors will work alongside, and will be guided by Girl About’s Founders and our brand trailblazers – tourism marketing experts, experienced travel journalists, tech geniuses, blogging gurus, sales professionals, PR pros and more.
With your own regional platform and a cohort of Girl About Ambassadors to spur on, plus a wealth of expertise for you to tap into, this is an opportunity like no other for the right women with tons of tenacity to build and monetise your own little piece of our Girl About brand.
We fiercely believe in collaboration over competition; we are so incredibly proud to have created a supportive network of like-minded female bloggers that are simply stronger together.
If you would like to discuss the Head of Region opportunity please contact Girl About’s Founder – Lyndsey Thomas in the first instance – firstname.lastname@example.org
We can’t wait to hear from you!
