“Hi, I’m Sally Bendall, Editor of Girl About Travel.

I’ve always loved to write. From creating staff magazines early in my career to producing newsletters and writing for other regional publications, I’ve always enjoyed telling stories that help people discover something new.

Alongside my background in the IT sector, I’ve spent years building online communities, creating engaging content and reviewing destinations, attractions and experiences. Girl About Travel brings together everything I love – travel, writing, connecting with people and helping others make confident choices about where to go next.

Behind the scenes, my husband Mark is the technical brains of the operation (and my unofficial IT helpdesk!). A keen cyclist, he’s often the one returning from events around the UK and Europe with fresh destination ideas and hidden gems for me to explore.”
