Santa's Grottos in Hertfordshire
If you have young kids, top of the list on things to do in the run up to Christmas is definitely meeting the ‘Big Man’.
Luckily you don’t need to fork out for a tip to Lapland as Father Christmas will be doing the rounds throughout Hertfordshire and hosting meet and greets in various festive grottos. Many sell out well in advance so its advisable to book soon.
Santa Spectacular at Willows Activity Farm, St Albans
This hugely popular Christmas event is not cheap but includes a hist of festive experiences including a Santa’s grotto where, as well as meeting Santa himself, kids get to choose their own gift. There’s also the chance to make a cuddly toy, decorate gingerbread, create a sleigh to take home, have a go at synthetic ice skating and a wizz on the funfair rides. Plus there are wonderful festive shows and use of all the farm’s usual adventure play and animal activities.
