Don’t miss Tom Kerridges’ ‘Pub in the Park’ festival across the UK this summer
The UK’s biggest (and best) food and musical festival, Pub in the Park, is in full swing and is heading to Bath this weekend, 16-18 June 2023. I’ll have to contain my excitement until the festival comes to Tunbridge Wells in July but I have been previously and it is always one of the highlights of the summer. This year the line up looks absolutely spectacular, so if you’re not familiar with the event, here is everything you need to know.
What is Pub in the Park?
From now until September, Pub in the Park will welcome thousands of foodies and music lovers to celebrate the illustrious British pub. Visitors will be spoiled by the tantalising aromas and heavenly flavours of cuisine prepared by award-winning chefs, before a fun-filled evening of live music by internationally recognised performers.
Pop-up pubs and Michelin-starred chefs
The brainchild of England’s beloved Tom Kerridge, the event schedule includes an impressive line up of some of the biggest names on the foodie scene, cherished TV icons, and highly-acclaimed Michelin-starred heroes. 2023 will see Ainsley Harriot, Si King from the Hairy Bikers, Ed Gamble and Nisha Katona, amongst others, head to the stage at the festival.
You can take in the ambiance at your leisure and sit back to watch legendary chefs create their masterpieces on the Chef Demo Stage. Savour the delights from one of the many award-winning ‘pop-up’ pubs, that will be serving regional favourites as well as dishes from nationally-renowned eateries. The event is packed with pubs (obviously) and bars, offering everything from cocktails, fizz, local wines, regional beers and a range of spirits.
The event is family friendly, with a Kids Area packed with crafts and games. You can also pick up specialty ingredients from one of the stalls in the Artisan Food Market or peruse the shopping village for some unique items.
Musical legends perform live music
After all that delectable food, it is then time to dance it off as award-winning musical idols perform live on stage during the evening. Mcfly, Craig David, Sugababes, Rudimental, Bananarama, UB40 and Sam Ryder are just some of the stars performing this year.
