The Star Inn the City

A Brasserie style restaurant overlooking the River Ouse in one of the finest locations for dining outdoors in York. The Star Inn the City is situated in an enviable riverside location on the edge of York Museum Gardens and close to the historic Lendal Bridge. Their outdoor terrace is a real sun trap and is the perfect place to enjoy some lunch outside.
Described as “a little taste of the countryside in the city” expect fresh seafood dishes, burgers and a variety of vegetarian dishes, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to eating well. Headed up by Michelin-starred chef Andrew Pern, enjoy a regularly changing menu of seasonal favourites. Enjoy the perfect al fresco dining experience, the Star Inn The City is definitely one of my favourite places to eat in York.
