I tried the WW powered by Tanita Body Composition Monitor – Here’s what I thought

some blue tanita scales on a wooden floor
Alongside being a travel writer for GirlAbout Travel I am a PT & Nutritionist, I’ve always said that the scales only tell part of the story. That’s why I’m excited to be using the new WeightWatchers Body Composition Monitor powered by TANITA Europe.

Rather than focusing on just one number, it measures things like body fat, muscle mass, body water, visceral fat and metabolic age, giving a much clearer picture of how your body is changing over time.

If you’re strength training, eating well or simply working towards a healthier lifestyle, these are the numbers that can help you see progress even when the scales don’t seem to move.

I’ve recently started using the WeightWatchers powered by TANITA BC-730WW at home, and it’s become a really useful part of my health routine. Rather than focusing on the number on the scales alone, I love that it gives me a much better understanding of what’s happening with my body.

It measures nine different body composition metrics, including body fat and muscle mass, so I can see how my healthy habits are paying off over time. As someone who’s more interested in improving my overall health than simply losing weight, it’s great to have that extra insight.

The scales are also surprisingly compact and lightweight, making them easy to move around or even take away if I’m travelling and want to stay on track. I also love the fresh aqua blue colour, it’s a small touch, but it looks great in my bathroom.

Is It Worth the Money?

I have had several of this type of scale for my job and personal use, I like the colour, and ease of use, for the cost I would have liked an app to use along side. I have had many Tanita scales and they are always good quality and accurate.

Who It’s Best For

This product is ideal for anyone who wants an overall picture of their health and not just a scale number and wants something a bit bright and colourful

Overall, I’ve been really impressed with the Weigh tWatchers powered by TANITA BC-730WW. It’s straightforward to set up, simple to use and provides far more useful information than a standard bathroom scale.

While it isn’t the cheapest body composition scale on the market, I think the build quality, ease of use and the extra health insights make it a worthwhile investment if you’re serious about tracking your progress.

For me, it’s become an easy addition to my daily routine and a great way to stay motivated by focusing on overall health rather than just the number on the scales.
