The THERMOS Radiance Family Cool Bag – A Must-Have for Family Days Out

We’ve been using the Radiance Family Cool Bag from Thermos for picnics, days out and even transporting food on our journeys to caravan sites (we don’t travel with anything in the caravan fridge due to weight limits), and it’s been so useful.

First Impressions
It feels really good quality straight away – thick, durable material that feels like it will last.
We went for the dark green, which I think is a lot more practical for outdoor use and less likely to show dirt compared to the cream.
Performance / How It Worked
We’ve used this for picnics and also for transporting fridge items on longer journeys, and it’s handled everything really well.
The capacity is a big win – we can fit pretty much everything in there. Milk cartons, butter, cheese, bacon, yoghurts, eggs… all the essentials for a trip away.
It keeps food properly cold, even over longer periods, so no complaints at all on performance.
Practicality
This is where it really stands out.
The extra pockets are so handy – we use the zipped section for dummies and the side pockets for things like napkins and cutlery that we didn’t want to get wet from the freezer packs.
We often picnic in the woods where there are no bins, so everything goes straight back into the bag afterwards. The inside wipes clean really easily, which makes a big difference.
The carry handle is also really practical – long enough to go over your shoulder, which is ideal when it’s full of heavier items like drinks.

Is It Worth the Money?
At £30, I think this is really reasonable for what it is.
It’s well made, durable and something we’ll use regularly, especially through spring and summer, so it definitely feels worth it.
Who It’s Best For
This product is ideal for:
Families, picnics, travel, caravan trips and anyone needing to transport food and drinks
It may not suit:
Those looking for something small or very compact, however it does come in an individual version.
Final Verdict
Overall, this is a really practical, well-designed cool bag that fits easily into everyday family life. It’s spacious, easy to use and does exactly what you need it to do.
We’ve used it a lot already and will continue to – it’s one of those things you don’t realise you need until you have it. I honestly can’t find any faults with this.
