For the Rail Lovers
Step back in time and treat your sweetheart to a romantic four-course evening dining experience on board a luxurious Pullman Car on the Golden Arrow this Valentine’s Day. This dining train service departs from Sheffield Park Station and travels through the beautiful countryside of the Sussex Weald to East Grinstead. The journey will last around three and a half hours. A table for two costs £198.

For the Foodies
Foodies should book quickly to taste Sussex’s newest dining experience in Lewes, East Sussex. Fork is a neighbourhood restaurant serving modern British cooking. The seasonal menu reflects the restaurant’s support for local farmers and artisan producers. Head Chef and owner, Andrew Wilson, has worked at two Michelin star restaurants – Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge and Drake’s Restaurant in Ripley – and his passion for local, quality ingredients is at the heart of the menu. Fork is offering a six-course Valentine’s Dinner Menu, available on 11th, 12th and 14th February, from £60pp. Mouthwatering dishes include Poached Sussex Herd Beef Sirloin, Creedy Carver Chicken Parfait, Royal Oak Pumpkin Risotto and Lemon and Passion Fruit Baked Alaska.
For the Wine Enthusiasts
Tinwood Estate, located in Chichester in the heart of West Sussex and at the foot of South Downs National Park, has earned a reputation for producing the very finest English sparkling wines. This Valentine’s Day, enjoy a tour of the Tinwood vineyards followed by a tipple or two of their stunning pink Rose (you’ll also get to try the Blanc de Blancs and the Brut), accompanied with a cheese board and chocolates. The vineyard tour departs at 3 p.m. and Tour & Tasting tickets cost from £25 per person with the cheeseboard, £18 without.
For the LOL-ers
Love and laughter will be in the air! Enjoy a fantastic stand-up comedy show alongside a delicious two-course meal with a glass of prosecco at Komedia Comedy Club’s Valentine’s Day Special. What better way to celebrate love than with an evening of laughter at Brighton’s award-winning comedy venue which welcomes the biggest names on the comedy circuit. The Valentine’s special will feature Alison Spittle as the MC, Tadiwa Mahlunge, Rich Wilson and Harriet Dyer. Dinner and the show costs from £35 per person.
For the Movie Buffs
Make a night of it and watch a movie in a state-of-the-art cinema and enjoy a delicious three-course meal at Sussex’s luxury entertainment experience, The Sussex Exchange in St Leonards on Sea. The menu which includes succulent Sussex scallops, a sharing steak platter and a trio of desserts. Cost £89.95 per couple which includes a complimentary glass each of Prosecco Royale.
