Yurtshire near Ripon in North Yorkshire - recommended by Gemma in Yorkshire

Perfect for glamping-loving families who love to glamp with glamour.

I love it because… it’s about as luxuriously cosy as a night under canvas gets. Expect bathrobes, TV, roaring fire, scatter cushions galore, plants, lamps, designer bathroom, kitchen sink – the lot! And of course not forgetting your own private wood fired hot tub.

Set in their own private areas, these luxury yurts are nestled amongst towering trees with a private hot tub strategically placed so you can soak up the most breathtaking views across the Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale. You won’t want to leave.

The yurt beds are nothing short of dreamy and to add even more pizazz, from the large circular skylight above your head, you can star gaze from the comfort of your own bed, and wake up to dawn breaking. Or the sounds of the rain falling.

Facilities include your own bathroom, toilet, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and everything you could possibly need for a happy hot tub holiday. We had our little nippers in tow, so the games provided were a welcome treat.

From £220 for 1 night of £370 for 2 nights – sleeps up to 4

The Hideaway in Lyme Regis, Dorset - recommended by Sarah in Dorset

Perfect for a special occasion by the sea.

I love it because… the views out to sea from the Scandinavian-style private hot tub in your pretty little cottage garden are nothing short of lush.

Check into this super-cute one-bedroom bolthole in the heart of Dorset and relax. The cherry on the top of this superbly renovated garden apartment in the centre of Lyme Regis is the beautiful brand-new wood-fired Scandinavian-style private hot tub, which sits in the pretty little suntrap of a garden bursting with blooms, with gorgeous views out to sea.

It’s just a two-minute walk to the beach, right in the heart of Lyme Regis so you’re super close to the local cafes, restaurants and shops. Plus you’re perfectly positioned to hunt for fossils and explore Dorset’s stunning coastline.

The Hideaway is perfect for a romantic trip away to celebrate a special occasion and it sleeps two.

The Black Hut at Sycamore Glamping in Northumberland - recommended by Beth in Northumberland

Perfect for a rustic romantic getaway under the stars.

I love it because… you get to experience Northumberland’s famous protected Dark Skies whilst relaxing in your very own outdoor bathtub hot tub.

In a peaceful, rural woodland location, these pods are on a working farm and the Black Hut, which is exactly that – is the star of the show. My favourite features are the Black Hut’s viewing platform, where guests can stargaze cuddled up under a fluffy blanket and the hut’s very own outdoor rolltop bath. Strip off and jump into a bath full of bubbles in the great outdoors, looking out over the most breathtaking rolling hills or up to the thousands of twinkling stars in the night sky.

Fluffy white bathrobes are waiting for you when you’re ready to jump out of the tub and into the dreamy king-size bed, which takes centre stage on the ground floor of this lovely little well-stocked hut. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a more than comfortable stay, including a combi oven, hob and dishwasher. Central heating, luxury linen and posh toiletries a splash of glamour to this glamping experience.

Sleeps up to 4 (max 2 adults), with a large double bed and two single beds on the mezzanine. The hut is not suitable for under 7’s due to the mezzanine ladders, however, babies in cots are welcome.

From £170 per night (off peak)

If like me, you love to get active outside, Loch Lomond Waterfront Resort is the perfect base from which to conquer Conic Hill or hike part of the West Highland Way. Or simply take advantage of the resort’s 10 acres of private grounds, the private beach and facilities to include kayaking, wild water swimming, paddling, board games, picnic areas and more.

With two stories and stunning views over Loch Lomond, these gorgeous luxury lodges sleep up to 6 people and are perfect for families and groups of friends. Expect all the mod-cons you need for a comfortable stay, plus outdoor BBQ and of course, that all-important outdoor private hot tub.

Perfect for a special occasion for couples and girl friends.

I love it because… it is the perfect romantic hot tub haven for couples who are looking to unwind in the most sophisticated and stunning surroundings.

Dramatically perched on a clifftop looking out onto the North Sea and named Hotel of the Year 2023 in The Times 100 Best Places to Stay list, Seaham Hall is about as gorgeous as it gets up here in the Northeast of England. The Garden Room suites are lavishly decorated and everything about the interior screams romance and relaxation. Floor-to-ceiling sash windows, bold colours, plush fabrics, super-king size bed and all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a hotel of this ilk. These suites are gorgeous with a capital G.

Hayne Barn Estate Eco Village in East Kent - recommended by Kirsty in Kent

Perfect for beach-loving all-weather glampers.

I love it because… the yurts are heated so they are perfect for a cosy winter getaway.

Hayne Barn estate is a great way to reconnect with nature whilst escaping from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Grab the kids and head to Saltwood in the heart of the Kent countryside.

Book either a luxury yurt or one of the new eco-lodges and enjoy your own private and spacious outdoor area complete with a built-in barbecue, stunning views of the Kent countryside and your own eco private hot tub. What makes it an eco hot tub I hear you ask? This hot tub is heated by the connecting wood burner. You also have access to your own kitchen and bathroom complete with rain shower.

Hayne Barn Estate is located just two miles from the beach at Hythe with other gorgeous beaches within driving distance. The estate also makes a great base for getting out walking or mountain biking – just make sure you come back and unwind in the hot tub after. There are also lots of attractions nearby to keep the kids happy including Port Lympne Wildlife Park and Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway. Whatever you do there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

From £140 per night

The Horse Hut & Lotus Spa - Little Place in the Country in Hampshire - recommended by Sarah in Hampshire

Perfect for vintage sports car enthusiasts.

I love it because… where the heck else can you immerse themselves in the warm bubbling waters of a bright yellow sports car?

You really have to see it to believe it. Owner and creative genius Ralph has done the most amazing job at creating an absolutely brilliantly bonkers bolthole from a horse hut that was once mounted on the back of a lorry and used for Polo and Shire horse shows. Whilst still maintaining its horsey heritage, it’s now a cosy place to stay complete with four poster bed, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and log burner.

Step out onto a wraparound veranda – the perfect spot for a sundowner with the most breathtaking views over the Hattingley Valley. And don’t get me started on the seated BBQ area with outdoor bar. Oh yes… it’s something else.

If you can tear yourself away, go and explore the local area. I recommend a visit to Jane Austen’s House in nearby Chawton, or a walk around the gardens at Chawton House itself. There are plenty of great pubs locally to include The Greyfriars near Alton.

And if a sports car isn’t your thing, you can always book into the Blue Bird Penthouse down in Devon and jump into the Land Rover tub instead. No prizes for guessing what this tub is housed in (see Handy Links section below).

From £155 per night

In The Vale - Threlkeld, The Lake District - recommended by Ali in the Lake District

Perfect for unplugging with your favourite human.

I love it because… the mountain vistas from your private hot tub are mesmerising, and the style and the vibe are nothing short of perfect IMO.

In The Vale is situated right at the foot of some of The Lake District’s most impressive mountains. This is the perfect little paradise to get cosy and celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or just to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I love the personal touches in the shepherd’s huts and cabins. Local coffee, personalised robes and more make give them a real home-away-from-home feel. There’s underfloor heating, a luxury shower and bubbles on arrival

From the deck, enjoy the roar of a fire as the sun rises or sets. Soak away the hustle and bustle of life in your private hot tubs warmed by homegrown wood, and enjoy panoramic views of the Lakeland mountains, and the twinkle of a million stars above.
£330 for 2 nights

I love it because… you get to indulge in a bit of childhood fantasy that’s all grown up.

Channel your inner Swiss Family Robinson in the Tree House (it’s been built for you) at Wolds Edge in the Yorkshire Wolds. Jam-packed with luxurious creature comforts and constructed from locally-sourced materials, it blends in beautifully with its natural surroundings.

With one beautifully decorated open-plan bedroom, the tree house boasts a king-size bed and ensuite with a walk in shower. There’s a large flat screen TV and log effect fire to cosy up in front of, there is also the private hot tub outside on your own elevated private decked area.
