What I loved about it:

The best bit about this rooftop bar in Liverpool has to be the salt and pepper chicken. I seriously cannot get over how delicious it was. I also loved the vibe inside Tempest on Tithebarn and the decor is lush. The staff are really friendly too.

Catch up and cocktails at Tempest on Tithebarn

I was recently invited along to Tempest on Tithebarn to review their new small plates menu. I not been to Tempest before, however it’s been on my hit list for a while – it’s got a reputation for being the best rooftop bar in Liverpool. So naturally I was keen to see what all the fuss is about.

Although the menu isn’t that extensive, they’ve covered all bases. I went along with my Vegan friend Kat and she was more than happy with the Vegan options. She thoroughly enjoyed the spicy cauliflower; she said it’s a popular dish on most vegan menus but it’s not always great. This one however, was apparently very good.

We kicked off with cocktails – all the classics are on the extensive cocktail menu plus a few modern alternatives. You probably all know by now that I’m a Pornstar Martini kind of gal. however, on this occasion I ordered outside the box, and went for a Sapphire. I was impressed when this lovely blue gin cocktail arrived – it went down a treat.

I ordered small fish and chips, salt & pepper chicken and mushroom risotto.

Three very different dishes, all equally delicious. My favourite? The salt and pepper chicken. Just wow! It was so good I practically inhaled the whole dish!

It’s a “small plate” menu, but the portions are more than adequate. And three dishes was just enough for me.

This is a great place to go for after-work drinks and a bite to eat. This cool Liverpool rooftop bar in the heart of Liverpool’s business district is a fabulous spot, with a gorgeous urban backdrop and a great place to enjoy cocktails and friends.

Their breakfast menu looks divine too. I’ll definitely be popping by to try that out soon.
