Shake Shack Oxford and Fortnum & Mason – A Christmas Special

It’s known for its delicious made-to-order Angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer, wine and more.

This week we popped in again for a tasty treat at Oxford’s outpost of legendary burger joint Shake Shack.
With its high-quality food, warm hospitality, and a commitment to crafting uplifting experiences, Shake Shack quickly became a cult-brand with widespread appeal.
Stand for Something Good
Shake Shack’s purpose is to Stand For Something Good®, from its premium ingredients and employee development to its inspiring designs and deep community investment. Since the original Shack opened in 2004 in NYC’s Madison Square Park, the company has expanded to over 590 locations system-wide, including over 380 in 34 U.S. States and the District of Columbia, and over 210 international locations across London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul and more.
I decided to try the return of Shake Shack’s limited-time Hot Menu – only available 25 September to 4 November.
Spice seekers can dive into a crave-worthy offering, built around crispy chicken, cheesy fries, and refreshing drinks with a twist.
Firstly the Hot Chicken Burger nearly blew our heads off, in a good way. We enjoyed crispy, 100% chicken breast dusted with special hot spice mix, topped with cherry pepper slaw and pickles.
This was accompanied by Hot Cheese Fries – crinkle cut fries topped with cheese sauce and dusted with hot spice mix
To finish, I tried the limited-edition Carrot Cake Shake – vanilla frozen custard hand-spun with carrot cake mix-in, and biscuit crunch, topped with whipped cream and biscuit crunch. And my kids loved the Blueberry Basil
Lemonade – Blueberry purée and fresh basil, mixed with house-made lemonade. Calorie overload but satisfaction guaranteed.
Fortnum & Mason
And excitedly, this festive season, Shake Shack has partnered with Fortnum & Mason, the iconic British retailer celebrated for its extraordinary teas, biscuits, and seasonal tradition.
Together, they’ve crafted a limited-time drinks menu inspired by Fortnum’s most loved Christmas flavours — available exclusively at Shake Shack locations across the UK from 5th November to 6th January.
Blending Fortnum & Mason iconic Christmas Merrilossus biscuits, which see a medley of fruit, nuts and spice covered in thick layers of chocolate, alongside Fortnum’s Christmas black tea with Shake Shack’s signature Shakes and Fifty/Fifty Lemonades, this collaboration brings festive indulgence to a whole new level.
