As burnout, stress and digital fatigue continue to rise, luxury travellers are increasingly seeking holidays that leave them feeling genuinely restored rather than simply relaxed.

A new three-day residency this Autumn at Heritage Resorts in Mauritius hosted by leading UK yoga expert Tara Lee offers the ultimate digital detox in one of the Indian Ocean's most beautiful natural settings.

In a career spanning more than two decades across yoga and holistic wellbeing, Tara is a published author on yoga, is a senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK, and is recognised for her accessible approach to yoga combining breathwork and alignment. Alongside her yoga teaching, she is also a qualified Shiatsu practitioner and Doula, bringing a deeply holistic understanding of physical and emotional wellbeing.

Taking place from 30 September to 2 October 2026, the immersive residency has been designed to help guests reconnect with themselves through movement, mindfulness and meaningful moments in the extraordinary natural surroundings of Bel Ombre, where lush mountains meet turquoise lagoons. All sessions are offered on a complimentary basis to guests staying at Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali and Heritage The Villas.

Tara will guide guests through a carefully curated programme of yoga, breathwork and meditation sessions that encourage physical wellbeing, mental clarity and emotional balance. Suitable for all abilities, the residency offers a rare opportunity to learn from one of the UK’s most respected yoga teachers while surrounded by one of the world’s most naturally restorative environments.

Set within Heritage Resorts’ unique “From Ridge to Reef” territory, guests can complement their practice with sunrise walks along the beach, wellness treatments at the resort spa, healthy cuisine inspired by local ingredients and immersive experiences in the nearby nature reserve.

“Wellness isn’t about perfection or escape; it’s about creating space to reconnect with yourself,” says Tara Lee. “Mauritius provides the perfect environment to slow down, breathe deeply and rediscover what makes you feel your best. I’m excited to share this experience with guests at Heritage Resorts.”

More than a traditional yoga retreat, the residency forms part of Heritage Resorts’ wider commitment to meaningful wellbeing experiences that connect guests with nature, culture and themselves. Nestled within the UNESCO-recognised Bel Ombre region, Heritage Le Telfair offers a rare combination of luxury, authenticity and natural beauty, making it an ideal destination for travellers seeking lasting wellbeing rather than a quick fix.

The Tara Lee Yoga Residency takes place from 30 September to 2 October 2026 at Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, Mauritius.

Residency highlights include:
• 3 x daily yoga sessions with Tara Lee
• Mindfulness and breathwork practices
• Opportunities for personalised guidance
• Access to Heritage Le Telfair’s and Heitage Awali’s wellness facilities
