Little Rick CBD Drinks Review: My Favourite Flavours and Honest Thoughts

If you’re wondering which can to reach for first, here’s a little guide to the four flavours:

• Raspberry Coconut – A fruity raspberry kick paired with rounded, creamy coconut notes. Berries with a tropical twist.
• Mint & Lime – A mojito-inspired combination of cooling mint and zesty lime. One for those who gravitate towards fresh, citrusy flavours.
• Piña – Pineapple and coconut come together in a tropical pairing that takes its cue from a piña colada. Bring out the fancy glass for this one!
• Raspberry Lemonade – Juicy raspberry meets sharp lemon and a sparkling finish. A fruity take on classic lemonade, with a little extra tang.

I do love a cocktail, but I don’t always fancy alcohol, especially on a weeknight.  Sometimes it’s the sense of occasion I’m after: a lovely glass, an interesting flavour and something to sip and savour. So I was curious to see whether Little Rick could offer a little of that same experience.

For me, these drinks did feel like a treat. From the colours in the glass to the aromas and the combinations of flavours, there was more to enjoy than just quenching my thirst.

Having a Coke or a lemonade is ok, but this felt like more like I was choosing a drink to make a moment of. That was the appeal for me, being able to skip the alcohol and still have something that felt a bit special.

The Lowdown

Raspberry Coconut took the top spot for me. Refreshing without being too sweet, it had a lovely coconut flavour that really came through alongside the raspberry. If I were choosing just one to stock the fridge with, this would be it. A friend who joined me in the tasting said she noticed a sharp aftertaste, but I didn’t get that at all. Loved it!

Piña came next, and if you know me, that won’t come as much of a surprise. It’s no secret that I love a piña colada!  I was particularly looking forward to trying this one and it didn’t disappoint. It has a good pineapple flavour which isn’t always a given in pre-made drinks. I could quite happily picture myself stretched out on a lounger, sipping it from a tall glass filled with ice & probably a paper umbrella!

Raspberry Lemonade was a close third. Adding a couple of slices of lemon gave it a lovely tang. A really nice option when you fancy something fruity with a citrus kick.

Mint & Lime comes last. It’s not for me. An unfortunate encounter with too many mojitos in my younger years put me off minty drinks, and I haven’t enjoyed them since (everybody has that one drink, don’t they?).  Don’t let that put you off though, my friend and my husband both happily enjoyed this one, so it’s very much a matter of personal preference.

About the CBD

If you’re new to CBD, it stands for cannabidiol, a compound found in the hemp plant, and it’s the ingredient at the heart of Little Rick’s range.  The CBD content is said to aid relaxation.

Did I feel more relaxed? I’m honestly not sure. What I definitely enjoyed was the ritual: a lovely glass, some ice and an interesting drink to sip slowly. It felt like a treat without the alcohol, and that was the appeal for me.
