Review – Winter Light Trail – Northampton
Winter Light Trail at Delapré Abbey, Northampton
What I loved about it:
I loved the inventiveness of the light displays, including a huge light up babble and glow in the dark string! It really got me into the festive spirit with Christmas songs playing as you went along. Being able to see the beautiful Delapré Abbey from the Winter Light Trail was also a bonus!

I was gifted two tickets for myself and my partner to visit the Winter Light Trail, Northampton. We arrived at 6pm and it wasn't too busy, which was great, just some families and couples wandering around the food stalls. We headed into the actual light trail which takes around 40 minutes to an hour to walk through. As it was a cold night the ground was fairly solid however I would suggest wellies or suitable footwear as it could get very muddy. The light displays were incredible, my favourite being the huge Christmas bauble you could stand underneath. I also loved the deer shaped lights along the way. It was lovely to see people really getting into the festive spirit, wrapping up warm and seeing the wonderful Winter Light Trail.
After walking round the Winter Light Trail, Northampton we headed over to the bar and food stalls to warm up. We bought some bratwurst and I had a hot chocolate (with whipped cream and marshmallows!) and my partner had some mulled wine. We booked one of the Mini Chalets which can hold up to 8 people for an hour. It was lovely to get in out of the cold and have our food and drinks. A lovely way to start the festive season!
