Going nuts for dough

After a brilliant family tour of the Ashmoleum last weekend, channelling our inner Homer Simpsons, we all visited the Oxford outpost of doughnut dreamland Crosstown.

Makers of the most delectable gourmet handmade doughnuts, the chain is celebrating its 10th birthday this year.
The store is located on Ship Street and benefits from much foot traffic of locals and tourists alike. The day we visited there was a mix of students, tourists and families enjoying a sweet treat.
Spoilt for choice, we tried Pandan Lamington, Chocolate Truffle and Pistachio & Rose – all totally delicious. We could have eaten a second but vowed to save it until our next Oxford visit.
