I am an experienced writer and copyeditor with more than 30 years’ experience running my own small business all about the written word.

I’ve lived in the Lake District for a lifetime, am a published author of three books: The Cold Fix, The Winter of Our Lives and Where the Beck Flows. I am also a trained and insured cold water guide. In fact, most days you will find me somewhere in a waterfall, lake or tarn getting my cold fix. As a rebirthing breathwork practitioner in training and creative writing coach my guiding is now flourishing into 1:1 or group creative wellness retreats.

In my downtime, I am always on the lookout for cosy places to drink coffee and eat cake, good bookshops, and those unusual gardens, houses or shops where you can browse, eat, find an unusual gift, for yourself, or someone special. I have two grown up children who also live here in the Lakes, so I often get recommended places to walk, visit and eat in by them too.
