Campervan Campout Festival – one for the diary this May

campervan campout advertising photo
If you love a good campervan show, this one’s a bit different in the best way.

The Campervan Campout Festival is back for the May bank holiday (1–3 May) - and it’s not just a wander round vans and heading home by lunch.

It’s a full weekend of it. Full details available here

It’s giving campervan show… but with a proper festival feel

You’ve still got all the good bits:

  • vans to browse
  • accessories you didn’t know you needed
  • a shopping village you’ll “just have a quick look” round

But then it goes a step further.

You’ve got live music across the weekend (Marvin Humes, Ellie Sax), street food, drinks, workshops, demos – it’s got that proper buzz about it.

It’s the kind of show where you actually want to stay, not just pop in and leave.

You don’t need a van to go

This is why it works for so many people. You can come in:

  • campervan
  • caravan
  • tent
  • or just grab a day ticket

So whether you’re fully in it already or just dipping your toe into van life, it works.

Family-friendly without feeling like it’s just for kids

You know when something says family-friendly but really it just means “there’s a bouncy castle somewhere”…

This isn’t that.

There’s loads going on for kids – outdoor activities, circus bits, space to run wild – but it still feels like a proper event for everyone.  So you’re not stuck choosing between “something for the kids” or “something you actually enjoy”.

Why this one stands out

I go to a lot of shows, and the ones that stick are the ones with a good atmosphere.

This has that:

  • music on
  • people staying the weekend
  • proper camping vibes
  • everyone just enjoying it

It feels like the start of summer. And with camping selling out last year, it’s clearly one people come back to.

If you’re thinking of going…

It’s one I’d be booking early, especially if you’re staying over.

Perfect if you’re into:

  • caravanning
  • campervans
  • family weekends away
  • or just a good excuse to get outdoors
