Dear Partners – Here’s What Caravan Mums Really Want for Mother’s Day

With Mother’s Day falling only a few weeks after the NEC, it feels like the stars have aligned for camping and caravan mums, especially those with a wish list as long as their arm after seeing all the amazing stands at the NEC.

We asked our community of caravanning mums what they’d really like for Mother’s Day, so get ready other halves, here’s the list. And
unsurprisingly, some of the suggestions are completely FREE - they just might cost you a little bit of sanity!

SILWY Wine Glasses, A Lie In & Dad Taking the Kids to the Park Whilst We Read a Book

This unbeatable combination is from @touringwiththesaunders

Silwy are known for their patented magnetic glasses, crockery and kitchen essentials. They’re high on everyone’s wishlist at the moment for three reasons (yes, I know I said two):

The magnetic system means glasses don’t need wrapping during transit – they store securely.

The magnetic coasters can be moved, so no spills from clumsy little tornadoes.

The quality is off the scale.

The crystal wine glasses feel like a proper luxury product, so sipping wine from these feels far more special than from a plastic cup from the high street. It’s the least we deserve at the end of a long day chasing kids around the campsite

And honestly? Pair that with a lie in and Dad taking the kids out for a few hours and you’ve absolutely nailed Mother’s Day.

Code TINY20 will get you 20% off these

YETI

Any sort of YETI product

I can’t stress this enough guys – us girls love YETI. YETI ramblers, YETI flasks, YETI mugs, YETI everything.

Whilst they are on the expensive side, there’s something about the limited edition colours and high-end quality that gives YETI products maximum aesthetic appeal. I feel like a lot of mums don’t indulge in YETI because they’re pricey, so if I was given one as a present I’d be well chuffed.

@thecaravanningmummy recommends “an engraved YETI mug to keep your coffee hot when you’re interrupted 5 billion times.”

Honestly… accurate. Check out the pic below to prove it..

A Candle Lamp

Suggested by @tow_in_finnerty

We mums love a candle.
We do not love the thought of setting the caravan on fire.

Enter – the candle lamp.  These melt the candle through heat, so there’s no smoke and no flame. My pick would be this one for its dimmable options for that warm cosy glow, highly rated reviews, and cycle timer.  It’s all the vibes without the risk.

Toastd Kit

If you haven’t heard of Toastd kits, they’re marshmallow toasting kits that come with everything you need to unlock a core childhood memory for the little ones (which mum will definitely appreciate).

They include a Toastd burner, marshmallows, skewers and all the sprinkles. We love the Toastd s’mores kit for a proper treat.

We’ve had some of the loveliest caravanning moments sat around our Toastd kit, and sometimes the best gift isn’t a thing, it’s the memory you make with it.

NEOM Wellbeing Pod Mini

Suggested by @fradgleyfamilyadventures

Another scented product without the risk. The NEOM Pod Mini is designed for scenting small spaces and even has a “car mode” for travel, which makes it ideal for the caravan.

They look sleek, they’re a high-end brand, and they’re guaranteed to win you brownie points.

ECOFEUGO Fire Pit

Suggested by @thespacieadventures

If you’re after a Mother’s Day gift that feels a bit special (and not last-minute petrol station flowers), the EcoFuego Fire Pit is such a good shout.

It looks the part with its proper wood-texture detail, lights quickly, burns steadily for hours, and doesn’t need constant faffing, which means more time actually sitting down with a drink and less time messing about with logs.

It’s one of those gifts that turns an ordinary evening outside into a cosy treasured memory.

Plan an Awesome Caravan Trip

This one’s from me, and it’s all about lifting the mental load.  It can take a lot of research to plan the perfect caravan trip, so why not plan one with an awesome itinerary and take the stress out of it for her?

I would be absolutely buzzing if Jord said to me,
“I’ve found a great caravan park for us three, pub on site, plenty for Luca to do and XYZ nearby.”

I honestly think mums have a million different to-do lists running at once. So if Mum is in the process of trying to find a summer holiday, give her some help. Even just a list of properly thought-through options you’ve narrowed down.

I’d appreciate this more than any gift – apart from a Colapz watering can HA.

A Funky Fleece

Pretty sure a funky fleece teamed with leggings is mum caravan uniform, especially in the pre-summer months. @fradgleyfamilyadventures recommends Passenger fleeces. I love this bright one:

If your other half is more into neutral, I’d recommend something like this one:

You genuinely can’t go wrong with a good fleece.

A YIBAKE Pizza Oven

A last minute entry from our editor, Sally @SallyB-Leeds. Her best recommendation is a pressie she received last year and now can’t live without on campervan trips – a plug in pizza oven!  Perfect for using with your own homemade pizzas or shop bought, it’s great for transforming your evening into a pizza party & the kids can get involved by making their own creations.

A TV Aerial Adapter

It’s not all candles and clothes. Our girl @girl.about.lancashire just wants a TV adapter so they can watch Gladiators on the weekends!  If your Mrs has been asking for something simple, just get it sorted.

Hopefully the guide has given you smores for thought. And ladies, if something on here has caught your eye, make sure to send it to your other halves !
