Mercure Tunbridge Wells - Murder57’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre

Friday 11th February

Go back to the 1920s and put your sleuthing skills to the test this Valentine’s weekend as Murder57 Ltd hosts an immersive murder mystery night at the Mercure Tunbridge Wells. Enjoy a three-course meal as you follow a twisting tale of glamour and scandal to work out whodunnit.

Nymans - Ignite: Fire & Fantasy

Friday 11th February – Sunday 27th February

This February, the beautifully romantic Nymans is transformed into a magical wonderland full of fiery lanterns and enchanting illuminations. Explore the West Sussex gardens on this hour-long trail which will appeal to all the senses.

The Plough - Valentine’s Menu

The hidden gem Bowley’s at The Plough in the beautiful village of Trottiscliffe, near West Malling, is run by chef Alex Yates who will be serving fine dining à la carte and tasting menus for Valentine’s Day. He is also making boxes of handmade chocolates for sale with flavours including Baileys, Red Hill grape, honeycomb, dark chocolate mint, salted caramel and Madeira ganache.

Monday 14th February

Created by head chef Gary Jarvis, enjoy a special five-course Valentine’s dinner at Tunbridge Wells’ atmospheric The Lyle. With their deco-inspired bar, plush velvet seats and extensive list of cocktails, there are few places more romantic – and with equally delicious food! – if you’re looking for a treat this Valentine’s Day. Dishes include beetroot cured salmon, loin of venison and apricot parfait.

Gulbenkian Cinema - The Royal Opera House’s Romeo & Juliet

Monday 14th February

Spend this Valentine’s Day experiencing all of the tragedy and romance of the ultimate love story as the Gulbenkian Cinema in Canterbury hosts a special screening of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet as performed by The Royal Ballet. This mesmerising performance is presented by The Royal Opera House and will no doubt make for a very sophisticated Valentine’s Day evening.

Located down a pretty country lane in the picturesque village of Kilndown, The Small Holding is run by Green Michelin Star recipient Will Devlin and offers a sumptuous menu full of seasonal produce. With the Valentine’s menu featuring BBQ lobster tart with tomato and chili ketchup and exmoor caviar, followed by poached rhubarb, ginger cake and clotted cream ice cream, your mouth will be watering as soon as you walk through the door!
