Olicana Park - log cabins

Olicana Park screams ski chalet type vibes with their chunky log cabin lodges, glass paneled balconies and cosy furnishings. Nowhere else in the Yorkshire Dales will you find cabins like these.

Hidden away on the outskirts of the village of Addingham these unusual places to stay in Yorkshire are ideally located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and the spa town of Ilkley.

There are five luxury cabins on the site. All sleeping four in two large bedrooms with king sized beds.

Each cabin is unique with exquisitely chosen fixtures and fittings, finished with stunning furnishings to make these cabins stand out from the pack. All except one are set over two floors, with an upstairs balcony looking out over the River Wharfe and beyond.

With en-suite bathrooms, cosy wood burning stoves, custom-made modern kitchens and open plan contemporary living space. These cabins are more than a home from home. To top it off each cabin boasts its very own sauna and hot tub to really be able to relax and unwind after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Hamiltons by the River is right next door. A popular eatery serving up delicious breakfasts and lunches as well as themed evenings using locally sourced produce at reasonable prices. The eatery enjoys beautiful views out to the river which you can enjoy from the outside patio or from your very own ski cable car. They have recently appointed a new head chef Loc who is no stranger to Hamiltons. He has been providing cookery classes for years there so will bring his own Vietnamese style twist to the menu and introduce ‘supper club nights’. An amazing addition to the team.

The Pump House Lodge - renovated pump house

Tucked away in Elslack near Skipton is this newly renovated lodge. An unusual place to stay in Yorkshire in that it was previously a Yorkshire Water Pump House. The lodge has been lovingly restored by husband and wife team, Laura and Nick whilst also juggling a new family.

The converted pump house is situated alongside the beck by Elslack Reservoir but hidden away in its own mini valley for a real secluded feeling. The owners live on site in the rest of the Water Boards old works that they are slowly renovating too.

The Pump House Lodge is total luxury, with a sunken outdoor hot tub which is totally surrounded by nature.

Bringing the outdoors in, are floor to ceiling windows across the front of the lodge with double doors opening out onto the patio right next to the beck. Outdoor furniture and BBQ are provided with a designated area across the beck ready for lighting a fire pit.

The lodge is ultra modern, uber sleek and magnificently designed with stylish contemporary fixtures and fittings, space savers and plenty of storage.

Sleeping four adults across two king size bedrooms the lodge boasts en-suite bathrooms, open plan living and high tech facilities. The ideal place to socialise or unwind and switch off, the choice is yours.

If you are wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales then you are in the perfect spot and bike storage facilities are also available.

Plenty of nearby pubs within a 3 mile radius offering exceptional Yorkshire cuisine, local craft beers, Yorkshire gin or hand selected wines, whatever your tipple you will be catered for. On the other hand if the Yorkshire fresh air is tonic enough then you won’t be disappointed with the views from your doorstep.

Borrowbelle - luxury bell tents

For a real touch of luxury glamping then Borrowbelle have got you covered. Not only do they set up their bell tents for you with everything you would ever need for the ultimate night under the stars. But you can choose your location within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

These beautiful 5m bell tents are perfectly pitched with a double bed for the most comfortable nights stay. All bedding is included as well as soft furnishings and bespoke touches to give the bell tents that homely warm feel. Decked out with fairy lights and lots of other optional extras including wood burning stove and a bottle of fizz, to really make the experience yours.

Sleeping under canvas will give you a sense of calm and tranquillity. This in the Yorkshire Dales will give you the feeling of being at peace, surrounded by nature, the lush green rolling hills and babbling brooks.

There are currently 3 options of where to stay that are tried and tested. These are Cracoe, Kettlewell and Buckden. But if another site was more suited to you then this could be an option too.

Deerstone Glamping - domes

From the 1st June, Deerstone Glamping will be opening their new domes. These truly unique glamping domes are available to book now. With six available currently they can accommodate a mix of people and each will be set up to your own individual requirements.

One of the many positives to luxury glamping is that everything is provided. Bedding, towels, all cutlery / plates etc, a cooler for food and drinks and a BBQ. Meaning you can just turn up and not have to worry about setting anything up. Each dome also has a wood burning stove including water heater to make sure you are really cosy.

Situated on the edge of Yorkshire, you will enjoy views over the iconic Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, as well as taking in the majestic Pendle Hill.

The site is an intimate family run glamp site by Karin and Chris. There is a unique mix of camping and luxury with the family orientated site. Set in 80 acres of fields, the views from the domes are immense.

What is a surprise with this site, and a total bonus when you are booking are the facilities on offer. You can book extra your very own evening in the Dome Cinema and also book the barrel sauna, wood fired hot tub and cold plunge barrel. Each of these additional experiences will generate amazing memories of your stay.
