The Ivy

Partisan is a vibrant, family-run, independent coffee shop in Micklegate. A real favourite and loved by the residents of York, the owners serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea every day of the week. The brunch menu is extremely popular where everything is cooked from scratch and features ingredients of the highest quality and it is all locally sourced. The interiors are lovely and inviting and they often host art exhibitions for local and national artists. Choose from a range of classic dishes including eggs benedict, smashed avocado, and some freshly baked goods to tuck into for afters.

Dyls

Skeldergate Bridge, York, YO1 9WJ

An independent family-run business, situated in the iconic motorhouse on Skeldergate Bridge, overlooking the River Ouse and Clifford’s Tower. Dyls is the perfect place to catch up with friends and is worth visiting at any time of the year. Absolutely beautiful in the summer months, they have a lovely outside eating space with plenty of room for al fresco dining. The old motorhouse comprises of four quirky rooms with stunning views over the river. The menu is really impressive, it includes freshly baked pastries, toasties, delicious light bites and sweet treats.

Plush Cafe

Stonegate, York, YO1 8AS

Plush is a boutique cafe in the centre of York with a rather pun-tastic menu. There’s never a bad time for a good pun and it definitely adds to the quirky surroundings. Colourful lattes aren’t the only thing Plush excel at, they also serve delicious cake, afternoon tea and an amazing brunch menu. There are three themed dining rooms – the garden room with its swing seats and beautiful floral decor, the funky Neon room and the luxurious floor cushion filled Bohemian room. Plush is one of the most instagrammable cafe’s in York – and so is the brunch!

Bottomless brunch is for a minimum of two people and can be enjoyed over 90 minutes. Guests have the option to choose one item from the brunch menu and bottomless drinks. Dishes include grilled ciabatta with a choice of topping such as smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado or you can choose from pancakes and waffles. There is a great choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes and gluten free options too.

Robinson's

Robinson’s is a lovely family run café located on York’s popular Bishopthorpe Road. It’s only a short walk from the city centre and is a firm favourite with visitors and residents. Robinson’s is a great spot to have breakfast specialising in freshly prepared dishes that use locally sourced produce. Offering some of the best brunches in York with a relaxed and warm atmosphere, Brunchers can enjoy a delicious variety of sweet and savoury plates including granola, croque madame and american pancake stacks with a choice of toppings.
